YewPine Cultural Traditions Inc. was established to identify, preserve and promulgate the cultural heritage of the Appalachian region. We accomplish this mission in a variety of ways:

• Sponsoring workshops and instructional retreats taught by individuals who are "culture carriers" for their communities
• Developing and publishing CD's, videos and books related to Appalachian arts, crafts and music
• Distributing recordings and other materials related to Appalachian culture
• Sponsoring public performances and demonstrations of traditional music
• Publication of historical recordings of early 20th century Appalachian culture carriers
